40 Bird Sporting Competition

Erik Aaron will be hosting an Open Clay Shoot with a pool shoot both days.

Junior and ladies prizes daily.

There is also Webley and Scott Grade 2 Shotgun up for grabs for the highest combined score over both days.

Have-a-go Stand

Visitors to the shooting show will have the opportunity to participate on both days of the fair.

You can bring your own gun for this activity – it’s open to all. Viking arms will also have a display of shotguns that people can try out.

We ask that all participants use only fibre wads – without exception.

Kirkbourne Spaniels Gundog Demo & Scurry

Darren Kirk has been training Gundogs for over 30 years and has the experience to get you and your dog to a standard you can be proud of. Regular group training classes for Puppy, Novice, Intermediate and Advanced levels are held in Doncaster, Leeds and Driffield, in addition to one-to-one training sessions and training days.

Each day of the show, Darren and his team from Kirkbourne Spaniels will be running Gundog Scurry and Working Test competitions for you to enter on the day; bring your dog and have a go! Darren will also be giving demonstrations in the Main Ring of the various elements of Gundog training that build up to produce a well-trained Gundog. Darren’s informative and humorous presentation style is fun to watch and always draws a large crowd.


Erik Aaron Archery

One of the oldest sports known to mankind and still, at its highest level, a test of concentration and physical strength. Fortunately, flexible and efficient modern bows mean anyone can learn how to launch an arrow and be hitting the target. Our Grand National Archery Society (‘GNAS’) accredited coaches can ensure that everyone is given a grounding in, or reminder of, the safe practices and best techniques that form the basis of good archery.

Erik Aaron Archery provides all of the necessary safety equipment, the targets and a range of modern bows, but we also have a few specials available for the more adventurous – ever wondered what it feels like to pull back the drawstring of a medieval longbow? Or fire a precision crossbow?


Battle Axe

Welcome to Sheffield’s new AXE-citing yet slightly crazy leisure activity… Urban Axe Throwing, yes really you read that right…AXES!!! Ever played darts? Who hasn’t right? Well this is darts but with axes.

With guaranteed laughs and fun a plenty, unleash your inner Viking… and did we mention you get to throw AXES?



BASC Shooting Simulator

Have you ever wanted to shoot walked up grouse? or experience the thrill of running boar through a snow covered woodland. Then try out the BASC North Shooting Simulator at South Yorkshire Shooting Show.

You can even challenge a friend and find out who is the best shot once and for all, taking on the challenge at the same time.

Plus there will be a variety of prizes for the top scores over the weekend, so come and have ago.


Nightmaster Night Vision & Thermal Imaging Demo Nights

The South Yorkshire Shooting Show & Game Fair is a great day out, offering you an amazing venue with a great selection of exhibitors with a very fair entry price this is always a show on the calendar that we are looking forward to exhibiting at.

This year is going to be a great one for us, working closely with Richard we have arranged a huge Night Master night vision & thermal imaging demo night on the Friday which will be the first show ever to offer a true night time ‘dark range’.


Crusader Display Group

The Crusader display group are a bunch of Military and ex Military enthusiast’s with a large collection of vehicles, weapon systems, communications and more.

They also boast the largest private collection of British army cap badges. Their aim is to educate and raise funds for Military Charities. Visit their display at the show!


BASC

BASC will be teaming up with the local Yorkshire Police forces over the weekend, chatting to the shooting community regarding firearms applications, renewals, alterations and fielding general questions.

The main BASC stand will also feature bespoke handmade country jewellery by Rachel Elizabeth Wood, along with a focus on our ladies and young-shots programmes. Our Taste of Game goodies will also be available, so why not sample some sloe gin and a bag of pheasant crisps! Plus you can join BASC or renew your membership on the day and receive a welcome pack and gift.

Outside will see a new BASC addition to the show with our deer focus area, offering BASC trophy measuring and expert advice on stalking.


Inferna Peditum

We are a multi-period living history and re-enactment group.

Portraying life in the late 14th, early 15th century, visitors will be able to see and handle weapons of the period as well as see combat demonstrations of how to use the weapons of the period from daggers to pole arms.

You can also see games and camp life of a mercenary unit on campaign in the hundred years war.


Sabre Troop Airsoft

Airsoft is rapidly increasing in popularity in the UK and Sabre Troop Airsoft use their Mobile Shooting Range to allow visitors to get up and personal with some of the weapon’s used in the sport & Hobby. Also giving friendly advice on how you can start, what equipment you need and where you can go and play.

Sabre Troop Airsoft provides all of the necessary safety equipment and a range of modern rifles and pistols, both electric and Gas powered, to fire at knockdown and / or paper targets. These Rifs (Realistic Imitation Firearms) are almost identical in weight and feel to the real-steel counterparts.


Calling Competition

Working in association with The South Yorkshire Shooting Show & Game Fair, The Ole Hedge Creeper, Really Wild Adventures, Countryman’s Diary, Calls Of The Wild & Pass It On Young Sports…

We bring you for the very first time in the UK a set of calling competition’s like no other, showcasing this under the internationally renowned guidance of The Ole Hedge Creeper, you have your chance to enter a USA style Duck and or Goose calling competition (meat calling not main stream) and show the three judges that you can really call wildfowl in each of those two separate tests.

Then there is the crow calling – can you call a corvid (crow) and sound like a murder of crows? Come put yourself to the test and prove to our judges you are the top of the murder tree.

Competitions for Duck/Goose & finally Crow will be held on Saturday 30th September and the the Fox / Predator calling will be held on Sunday 1st October. Deer calling will follow straight after the fox calling on the Sunday.

Winners of each of the competitions will receive prizes made by Calls of the wild.
